Whining noise coming from engine? Supercharger???

Hi my mini cooper s 2002 as decided to start making this noise...long story short was fine yesterday morning driving around went to start it up couple hours later and started making this noise, seems to be coming from the supercharge area, i hold my hands up, i checked the oil and no none was in ( yes im a [email protected]@k) so i know this has probably made it worse...but im praying its not the actual sc

We are going to eliminate what else it could be...but has anyone any idea of what this noise is???

First thought is that it's due to no oil in the superchargers' gear boxes (one on each side) if you know there's no oil don't drive it, soon enough the gears will strip, and because the water pump is driven by the charger it'll be game over quite quick
