I was driving home from work one evening in February, and while on the A11 passing Balsham/Fulbourn turn off I heard the sound that I can only describe as like a bag of spanners being smashed around. Straight after this there was a big puff of smoke out the back and the car lost power. I coasted far enough to reach the next exit where the car came to a stop in a puddle of oil. I had to get a recovery truck to get me home. I was having a lot of trouble with my boss at work, so dealing with this was not up on my list and then Covid-19 happened so I've been unable to get the car looked at to know what went wrong. A mechanic came to mine, as the car is dead, and took the front end off to discover that rather large hole, that you can see the what through? Can I put some filler on it do you think?
