As BMW are now offering walnut shell blasting as a clean up for our poor coked up junky R56's, I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread listing dealers/garages that are offering the service and at what price.

I got confirmation from my local dealer Sycamore Peterborough that they can offer a walnut decoke

Price is approximately £525.00 including VAT
Also if it needs a 2nd pass that's an additional £36 including VAT

BMW really should have an RRP on this as it seems wrong for it to vary so much from dealer to dealer.

Although my car is booked in with Chandlers Brighton I'm going to call the Hailsham branch later today to see if they offer walnut blasting as they are ten minutes away from me as opposed to 40 for Brighton.

I was hesitant to try Hailsham as the mini service manager there has always denied that minis suffer carbon build up and shot me down when I suggested to him that bmw were bringing out walnut blasters! Saying that if I can get it done closer to home then happy days, not like he'll be doing it personally

Should I discover that Hailsham Chandlers also offer this service then ill update this thread with price/contact details.

Then that leaves two options :
They are charging more hours for the same job or they need to go to Lidl/Aldi for the Walnuts

Will ask them to confirm but I suspect it will depend on time like you say but seeing as other garages can do it for £275 inc vat I will ask them to go for this price for MT member at the very least.
