So.
I have my baby booked in for a walnut blast on friday.
I am wondering if there are any possible downsides/issues this may cause?
Anyone have any experience?

The results are in.
2010 R56 s 68000 miles

Bottom 2 pics are before - not bad at all really considering mileage. No invoice evidence of it being done before.
Top 2 pics are after - super clean.

Also finally fitted boost solenoid under intake.

Certainly feels like more consistant boost now.
Not sure what the graphs show still digesting data.
Think the after graph must be wrong though - cant be getting over 30psi at 4k revs surely????

Probably not 30PSI on standard or mildly tuned car, maybe the app is calculating something else into the equation.

Still looks healthy on the engine if it has never been done before.

Im curious what about mine. I have 70k km(not miles) and im sure previous owner never did it.

As I understand it, valves could be blasted every 15-20k and it will make a difference to performance. If you run meth I guess that might extend that a little longer especially on direct spray.

Had the same problem with carbon buildup on my 2009 R56 JCW exhaust valves at 50,000 miles.
Built my own kit and took is slow for a 2 day tear down and blast over a weekend. Much improved...
Not too bad of a project....
