About Wagner Tuning

Wagner Tuning, founded by Carsten Wagner back in 1993 in Muehlstedt Germany

The company started off as a speed shop then in 2007 transformed solely into a manufacturing
and design shop for intercoolers, downpipes, intake and exhaust manifolds.

All products are designed in house using the latest technology.

Vehicles and their components are measured using our Faro-arm.

This information is then used in creating our products using CAD and FEM software.

With the business doing great in Germany and the high demand for products across
the world it was decided to open up a US and UK office.

Looks like a Top Outfit you's have.. Do you have any plans on an R53 Intercooler?
Do you have any plans on an R53 Intercooler?
Sorry, no not at this time. We are concentrating on the newer turbo cars that are coming out these days.
Looking forward to getting an FMIC off you guys :)

What other plans do you have for the R56?
The pre-facelift coolers should be available next week :D

Not sure on anything else for the Mini range. We'll see ...
If you could make an FMIC for the R53, just saying.

Two have already been made...

GRS, & Beekool, the GRS takes off from the stock SC horns and drops down the front of the car, the BeeKool jeeps the stock AC in place but requires a new rad as part of the kit and fits in about the squat rad.
Bekool can keep the AC or get rid. Nowt wrong with the rad at all.

Never said there was, but since i dont have AC on my car

It wouldn't be a problem and fitting would be easier...
It is out there now and a number have been sold. Website is being built to show the release of its 2nd revision.
Just done a bit of searching on the GRS cooler. Neat but very long pipe runs.

How well do each of the above perform?
The BeKool performs very well. On hot days IATS rest at 4 degrees above ambient. On cooler days it is even better. The best TMIC I tried was at best 11/12 degrees above ambient. (this being without Water/Meth) I believe Spec R also have an FMIC too, so there are actually 3 out there already.
Having looked at the BeKool and the GRS I would say both offer something different to the market and neither would be what I would be happy to buy.

It's a bold claim I know but I'm sure we could make a better solution.

Having only looked at the photo's I've found from a quick Google what I would want to do would mean quite an expensive kit.

Sadly for R53 owners for it to be viable for us we would need to sell a large number of units which isn't likely on what is becoming quite an old car.
