Been out of the mini game for a while
Just started a new project which I will put up a thread about soon
Looking at the TVS 900 and can’t seem to find any decent dyno charts
Seeing a lot of butt dyno postings but nothing concrete
Want to see before and after numbers to get a feel of real world performance gains before I hand over my cold hard cash
Used to be fairly standard on here and elsewhere back in the day with testing and fitting of parts
Any comments or experience with the kit?

338whp e85 car is for sale 17k usd
Yeah ok don’t know how that answers my questions lol

Your car? Is this the one that was advertised on NAM

Any details on what you did to get that?

I assume it is the NAM car advertised for $16.5k so it’s running TVS with 55 mm pulley and redesigned tensioner to prevent slipping

BVH with stroker

forged internals

1000cc injectors to run the E85 - flex fuel set up

Aftermarket ECU

So you are looking at what around $30k to achieve that

Would be interested to see just what gains of the supercharger are…. Without E85 car would probably make around 260 to 270hp do you know what it made pre TVS???

The Aussie car they feature on the Harrop website and youtube only made 270hp (200kw) with E85
Font Technology Design Number Darkness

would love to see a breakdown of what the actual charger makes without E85 tune but can’t find anything that makes me think it doesn’t make significant gains as if it did everyone would be posting before and after dyno figures 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

only thing I can find is from Harrop site is a 30hp gain on a stock car with the addition of TVs + 65 mm pulley and a tune with increased redline - out of that 30hp how much is the tune and how much is supercharger alone

I don’t have much to add to this thread but I did some research 2013/4 and didn’t think/believe at the time it was going to be worthwhile on my set-up for an extra 15-25hp, (I had done everything else worthwhile) I thought that 310 was a realistic goal, without additional ECU or all the other stuff you would supposedly “need”.

what I couldn’t get my head around was the “best numbers” for a lotus Evora running the same TVS kit on a Toyota 3.5 ltr engine seemed far too close to the numbers being achieved by a 1.6 tritech lump

I’m not saying don’t do it as different maths comes into play if you need a new supercharger anyway or can pickup kit cheap secondhand kit or collect from Melbourne without shipping costs to uk.

I was looking at 3-4K ++and turbocharging would have worked out more cost effective £ per bhp even if it needed a bigger spend

Its not worth doing period I speak from experience. Only massive gains will come from bvh tvs and e85 and I have more than you want to know into it to get to where I am.

That’s the conclusion I came to but was just wanting to check 👍

Beginning to think that chasing high HP in these cars is not worth the investment …. After spending $$$$ on the first build and then owning a ford focus rs they aren’t fast cars but they are a lot of fun

It was different back in 2008 having close to 290 hp and 1200 kg put you close to top of the performance pyramid for sub 60k-70k cars in terms of bhp per ton and rolling performance, not much would pass you on a B-road

its def not a civic and the main issue has always been development. There has really only been a few shops to make quality parts and one of those is a giant fuking douche bag. Civic or Camaros have zillions of options. For 15k usd I can get a 3rd gen F body open up a JEgs or Summit and make 700 whp with 10grand of bolt on parts and thats with the stock motor not a lsx and trhe same could be said for a civic. So yea. But I have about 20k usd into my engine but thats top to bottom everything new rods pistons head etc. That being said I have puty 50k miles on it in 3 years and am bored as fuck with 338 whp.

I think there is a certain improvement in performance.

I didnt dyno after I got the unit myself. But I did get the tvs before I got my rmw bvh. The 70mm harrop pulley is the equivlent flow wise as the 15% on the m45. I did notice what I would educated say 15-20 hp over the m45 with the15% I am friends with craig and a few harrop guys. Craig is the guys cars in the video and install instructions. He owns both of those cars. I will say after I got the rmw bvh and cat cam 469 I noticed at least a 45 whp again WHP difference. This is pump 91 in the states 1000cc fic injectors ling g4 milltek catback rmw header rmw bvh and harrop on 70mm pulley. Dont chase numbers. Chase the experience. The curve is mind boggling jsut look at it!!!!

Also this run is only to 7k as I wasn't after dyno queen numbers and even with my wild setup I have today I still keep it under 6800 as there is no need to beat up on my shit even if it can take it.
