FNG checking in, got a 2012 Cooper S last Thursday.

Yes, I know a remap is better but that isn't an option right now, but certainly something I may do down the road.

So looking at the plug-n-pray solutions out there, the Burger, NM, and RaceChip seem to be liked and do their job. I also found Thorton chips, but instead of inline with the sensors they are ODB port modules. I searched and can't find any reviews or even mentions of them. At $89, seems to good to the true.....

Im not going to push you gooing for a proper tune because the "can" tunes is like fast food.
However when a proper tune is not an option i would choose the most "wellknown" coompany and looking no more.
If i were you i would go with the RaceChip!

Just shows that this is snake oil, impossible numbers for these engines …even adding turbos as well as new ecu intercooler injectors etc you would struggle to get these numbers in a drivable car.

this workshop picture looks bogus, nothing here says ecu/tuning to me
