I've just been to see a mini. the supercharger has just been serviced. there is a slight rattle. the mechanic who is a mini specialist is saying the oil needs to bed itself in. Any truth to this?

Zero. Suspect he means thicken up with age to quieten the tolerances that have been created with wear and tear. Is that the one with a new clutch?
Easier changing a supercharer than a clutch imo. Clutches hurt my back and knees.
So wouldnt dismiss this one necessarily if the rest of it is acceptable.

yeah, I walked. the test drive had an unexpected result though. it made me realise I actually need to get a motorbike again. not a car... hmm. that's really has thrown a spanner in the works.

I don't think I could be without a bike, probably wouldn't want to be without a Mini either, and haven't been for over 25 years
