So all the DOT approved semislicks are permitable as they are in 1B category.

Not all DOT tyres, for instance Hoosier R6's aren't on the list afaik. Also to make it cheaper, get some of the other Greek TA competitors to come over for a round and split the costs of a transporter maybe?

This is a hell of an idea, but i am afraid too hard to make true nowadays around here..

So even the current FWD would be do-able for us all. Just tyres, suit up and pay for a license. Yes it's money but start saving!
