Street Class (MT one hit wonders?)

This is going to be a great opportunity to taste Time Attack for so many people.

What's up with it?

The high power cars usually run a cage / half cage anyway. I believe there will be a power limit.

Glen has emailed back to say we can have the scrutineering area like last year again if there are a bunch of Mini's in attendance.

I would always recommend a hand held extinguisher in any vehicle on track. if not for you, but for any other accident that you may come across.

Why spend money on a car, an engine build and then lose it all for the sake of a £100 extinguisher?
I do believe you will be required to have one for scrutineering.

Date/price/venue/people on this - Me and my pals are interested. But it's a Fiesta ST 150 with K&N filter and a 1.8 Focus Derv, remapped with panel filter (not as slow as you'd think boys) and me in the clubby (bants :laugh which MIGHT potentially have some decent form of power increase providing things plan out..

Done more than 60/70 track days with the mini..and I never had a problem with the fire..... Seen a lot of race car destroyed by the fire..with 2/3 + k€ fire extinguisher system.

I'm just asking because we were talking about a street class.. Here in Italy I cannot run a fire extinguisher system and a roll cage on a public road...if for the time attack the anti fire system is required I'll install it.

Its not a fire system thats required for this, just a handheld one mounted in the car like a road car would have for safety. It just needs to be on a secure bracket somewhere not plumed in or pull cord.

I might see what I can do through some of Dads farming contacts as we used to buy them on mass for the farm.

I'd be up for this in whatever car I have. Never done a track day so may as well throw myself in at the deep end :lol:
