I want to know a few things though??

Can the scangauge tell me if my car is pinking?

I always worry about thrashing my car before its warmed up, so make sure its had a good drive before I do so and that im 100% sure its warmed up, what oil temp would be ok?

Also, what IAT is it unsafe to use high revs or WOT?

I believe timing is pulled when IAT's go over 50c ;)
G
Thanks! So thats when you start to lose power? Is it still ok to use high revs as the timing is being pulled so protecting itself? Or still not a good idea?

Hi revs are fine just don't do it for 20 mins some members do ::popcorn:: you all temps will start to creep up then.

When we run on the strip it goes to 7-7.5K before changing gear and we cross the line in 4th.

Some go to 5th ::popcorn::
G
You change at 7.5k? wow, is your limiter raised Jove?

So if your car was idling and had a IAT of 50c, youd still take it up the strip? What kind of IAT temp would make you let off and start cruising to try and lower them? (obvisouly not on the strip)

Yes it's been remapped.

Temps on Sunday where hign...

The last run i did with Paul after burn out temps where are 50c crossed the line at 72c So i knew then i had to stop. I could have gone and run again but the temps would have been so hi i wouldn't have improved on ET or MPH.

I don't really do hi speed runs it's normally a short burst then cruise.

Its not too bad for me though as my oil temps could run at 160 deg C with no issues. None of you lot could do that:D
