Sorry I cant add to this yet, have the same double catch can to fit at some point, just need to buy all the stuff to fit it. Worth taking a load of pics as you fit it.
When you say complete package, does that include all the hoses etc?i have a 2 week lead time and have 10 coming through. yes, they have increased the price since last years group buy.
i will make a complete package so no faffing about. 4 are already gone so if anyone is interested, pm and will arrange nearer to the date.

Hope this helpsHi guys, I came across this forum thanks to MinIan's project car thread, when searching for the best plan of action once I get my walnut decoke done in the next month or so. I am ordering the Saikou Michi dual can - looks like a great set up.
I have a couple of questions about hose fitments before I bite the bullet and start ordering parts in preparation. I also want to make sure I have everything I could ever need when I start the job, as I don't have a garage or a second car - so if I hit a dead end, it could be pretty inconvenient for me! My plan is to basically copy MinIan's approach found here: http://www.minitorque.com/forum/f272/project-chilli-red-sloth-27889/index8.html - to use as many of the MINI connections as possible, but splicing in hoses to the OCC - if I cut a hose then find I need to get to the shops to pick up more parts, I'm screwed. So going on the basis of 19mm hoses coming and going from the cans:
Inlet manifold PCV:
I plan to leave the hose connected down at the manifold end, and cut it the same as MinIan did up at the airbox. However I note that he said this was the hardest part of the job as the 19mm hose was difficult to fit over the PCV hose tube at the rigid section. Am I right in thinking that only the top part of the hose is plastic tubing? Could I cut further down where the hose is just soft silicone and slide a coupler in? If this is the case, what size is this flexible part of the PCV hose (would a straight 19-19mm coupler do the trick)?
Also, will the other 19mm hose easily go over the PCV port on the valve cover, or is there a case to use the leftover PCV hose piece and salvage the MINI safety clip connection?
I think the hose is ribbed so won't be any easier if you cut it further away. My main problem was that the hose I bought was perhaps too good (if there is such a thing) as the large wall thickness made it very hard to push it over the plastic fittings. If you went for a more "rubbery" hose it would be fine.
If you are going for sham1974's kit I think he will be going for a thinner walled tube - correct me if I'm wrong Shams
Turbo Inlet PCV:
I like the default connections here. So I'd like to butcher this hose aswell, leaving the connections in place but adding my own hoses in to reroute through the can. It is my understanding (although I don't have verniers to check myself) that this hose is 22mm I/D. So could I use 2 of these: Toolstation > Plumbing > Solder Ring > S/R Imperial Coupler to join the 19mm hoses to the existing hoses in a similar fashion to MinIan's shower rail and copper sleeve? I like this style as it has the bumps to allow a good secure fitting for the jubilee clip. Any problems using copper in these lines?
That fitting looks like it will work. You could also try AP motor store, who have a large range of fittings and hoses
FYI the sleeved arrangement I used isn't working very well as the aluminium tube doesn't have the ridges you mentioned and the hose keeps slipping off the oily sleeve - let me know how you get on and I will copy you ha
I'd really appreciate it if anyone can help me out with these specifics. I have never done this kind of work on a car before so it makes me kind of nervous, but it all looks simple enough. My biggest fear like I said is being unprepared - I don't have a spare parts bin or extensive tools that will come in handy to bodge a solution if I get something wrong - I need to get it right first time.
You don't need extensive tools, I started with literally NO fittings and only a few jubilee clips. BTW the black Mikalor clips are very inconspicuous when fitted
Thanks,
Dave
