My mini cooper s r56 goes into limp mode, generally when idling or in traffic. It has fault codes 2745 Mixture adaption 1(multiplicative) and 2786 Mixture adaption 1 (additive). The emissions warning lamp occasionally illuminates, but generally there is no engine light and the limp mode comes and goes while driving.

Has anyone experienced this problem or know of a likely cause? Thank you for your help.

We are getting the same fault codes for about a year but it does not going into limp mode but brings up a warning light

Had a Walnut blast, changed the valve cover and inlet manifold & temp switch but still have the same warning light come on and off

Do you not have reduced power at any time? Have you tried cleaning or replacing your MAF? Walnut blasting was something I was considering getting done.

Could it be something to do with the HPFP? I have no issues on start up, but I guess it is possible it might not reach desired pressure.

Did anyone get to the bottom of this? I have 2745 and 2786 plus P2188 (which brings on the Check Engine Light) and P2177.

Some times the Mini flys and other times it is flat at over 4000rpm (this is not related to the CEL being on or off)

Otherwise runs fine idle good no hesitation on acceleration.

Have replaced Coil packs and plugs
