Random question: What 'warning' lights should I be seeing in my rev counter binnacle?

Having owned the R53 for a few weeks now, it dawned on me that I hadn't seen any symbols/lights appearing in the circles in my rev counter (no chrono pack).

Is this correct? Should I be seeing lights, such as indicators? Is this a common fault if so?

None on the rev counter.

Interesting. Then what are all of the circles for?

Incidentally, I realise that I've seen the TCS warning light in there when I've switched it off. So the whole thing isn't dead.

After shining a torch on them today, you're right.

I don't have cruise, so I've got 4 redundant holes and two working lights (my memory is pants).

Crisis averted. But what a terrible piece of design.
