Hi,

I have a R53, that i track day.
I’ve recently put a Newman cam and Bosch 550cc injectors and a remap.
When i drive it hard it goes in to limp mod and starts to misfire and the traction control light comes on but if you turn the ignition off and on agin it’s fine tell you drive it hard again.
when i plug it in, it says misfire on cylinder two and map sensor. I’ve put two new map sensors and it’s still the same.
Has anyone come across this before?!

Thanks Scott

Could be the belt slipping. You should have a hole visible at the top of the tensioner when the belt is the correct length. If it's like in this pic, the belt is too long.

Or it could be the pulley slipping on the supercharger shaft.

Not sure if those would trigger misfires tho... but would explain map sensors seeing unexpected readings and going to limp mode.

Check the grey pipe that goes from the supercharger intake pipe to the map sensor by the thermostat, mine was broken at the map sensor end where the clip is to the sensor (you'll need to check carefully as it will lie in the correct place and doesn't look broken at first). Easily fixed with a piece of rubber piping (I know from experience).
