Were in the process of installing a black line Lsd ,and so far so good ,however we seem to have a lot of oil on and around the power steering pump area and on the oil cooler on the filter housing ,is there away of testing the ps pipe work etc whilst we have the complete sub frame out ,were going to change the oil filter ,oil cooler and sump gaskets and probably the rear seal now anyway but don't like the idea of finding we have a ps oil leak when everything is back together.
Also we are going to install an oil pressure gauge ,so do we just do away with the oil light switch and use that port or is there somewhere else we can install it ?

You use an adaptor in the oil light port that fits between the sensor and the filter housing. I do not recommend getting rid of the sensor.

Replace the seals on the oil cooler and the rear main seal on the crank, behind the flywheel. Looking the state of your bellhousing, yours has been leaking.

In fact, do as many jobs whilst the engine is out as you can. Get all oil seals changed.

Thanks nigel, we replaced all seals and gaskets except the front of the engine( we intend to do chain guides in due course and will do them when in there), do you happen to know we're we can get an adaptor as we couldn't get 1,so we only have the oil pressure gauge currently,all went together well and were for the track Monday week to see how the lsd goes and to see if we have any problems
