No, other than the R56 which I modified myself.. the other two R53s I bought were already modified, so in this instance... bought not built.

I've been on the look out for some Rotiform BLQ for a while after having sold my last set on the R56 when I sold the car. Managed to find a decent set in the original machine finish and in decent nick, unfortunately they looked shite on the R53 as it looks to race car to pull off shiny wheels. Plus the 17s just looked too big on the R53 so the wheels were off within 4 hours of being put on [emoji1360] and I've given them to my partner.

I've also brought powerflex bushings bundle from Squirrel Performance who undercut Lohen by a fair bit so they'll be collected at Goodwood next week and fitted in a few weeks when the R53 goes in for a service and MoT.

Next will be RCA and the exhaust to try and get it a little quieter so I can get on some track days next year.

Building up a bit of cash to put to one side ready for some modding [emoji16] and the TD Imolas will be sold on to go towards more parts

Haha, I just saw this ;O)

Wouldn't know what to say haha, bought a black Mini, did stuff, keep doing stuff, it's not slow but is noisy haha. Not something I ever thought about really, could do but a bit late no?

Went to Curborough Sprint track today which was a good day and nice to push the car and see what it's capable of. Lots of improvements to make! Also found under throttle coming out of the corners in 2nd gear I'd have a rattle which sounded very similar to my Clio 197 manifold hitting the subframe under full throttle... so I'm guessing some bushes need to go in the front end?. Anyhow nice mods list to do over winter [emoji1360]

No advisories on the MoT and a serviced carried out. Also fitted Powerflex bush inserts which were supplied by Squirrel Performance:

-Gearbox/transmission mount bush
-Upper engine bush small
-Upper engine bush large
-Lower engine bush small
-Lower engine bush Large

Very slight bit of added vibration on idle (R56 poly engine mount was worse imo) and ive yet to give it a decent drive to feel the difference.

Also fitted fome facelift lights

Picked up x2 new sets of Silver Project rear control arms as they were a bit of a steal although I'd rather have got Hardrace. I'll only fit the lower arms but I'll have a crack at fitting these myself... seems simple enough "she says."

simple enough, in case you weren't going to do this anyway, set to the length of yours currently, by using the bolt holes on the originals as a guide, drop the bolt through both sets of holes with the arms next to each other to set.

Will do, also lots of copper grease so Ive been told

always helps, I use something else which is a grease that sprays on but dries very tacky and stays there.

It may help if you wire brush all of the current exposed threads as much as possible on suspension parts that haven't been disturbed for ages, then soak with wd or similar, if you only spray them without getting the 'swollen' rust off you're just going to drag it through the nut making it tighter than it needs to be, I'd also partially undo, then spray again, and work the nut/bolt back and forth to 'clean' the thread so to speak, but that's just me, if you're re-using the fixings it can only help imo.

Goose neck 18' spanner makes fitting these much easier.

Also theres far better things on the market than copper shite... Blit Hambler Dynax UC etc
