Hey Guys,
Well I've noticed that the 2001 Mini Cooper we have has the old style of Strut top mounting bearing. :sneaky2:
I ordered a new bearing top off of the internet from an ebay seller and they guy sent me the new style of strut bearing - which is no good for our car
I'd already taken the old bearing off - which was in really poor condition / completely rusted and collapsed.
I did try the new bearing in the car but its clear that it aint going to work as it squeek's and creak's quite bad at the moment.

hmy:
I just wondered what you guys have done with yours? Is there any alternatives to getting the part direct from BMW - pretty expensive...
I'm expecting a load of you to say 'coilovers' but to be honest, its low enough really.
Is there any work-arounds to make the new style fit?
or - maybe opt for some strut-top adjusting type mounts as seen on ebay?
Any suggestions would be great!
Poor mini is sat on the drive at the moment
