So a small update:

OS Giken STR2 clutch and the Superlock LSD is in! I drove the car on a sunny winterday and what a transformation!
Now the car is ready for some good software. This will be done mid March.

As I do also quite some road trips with the GP2 I wanted some good quality audio as well. The basic installation sucks...

So when to a car audio shop and had discussion with the guys what the options were.
We ended up with:
In the doors a Hertz MPK 165.3 compo set incl tweeters in the A-styles.

This is powered by a Hertz HCP 5D amp.
They installed the amp direct behind the passegerseat:

And in the back a DD Audio 6" sub which I can remove with a simple plug.

In the armrest there is a gain controller of the sub installed.

The sound is perfect now! Very please with it.... and in combination with the Tune2air unit I can stream Spotify from my phone.

As a MINI is never ready new parts coming in:

Coolerworx shortshifter with red knob.

I also ordered the 3D printed parts from Lohen to use for building in the shifter in a nice way.

And Tuesday is the day to look for extra pony’s. There is a tuning event in Holland with George from Greece.

So again an update.

After the installation of the Audio of the GP2 was on level I wanted the Dutch MOT came up and George Rossi came to Holland for a Bytetronik tuning event. So I dropped the GP2 again at my engineer Martijn Schols (http://www.scholsautos.nl)

In the time the car was at Martijn Dave of Gear53 started a groups buy for the Coolerworx Shifters... and as we are already on track with modding I got myself a black one with red knob to match the GP2 style.

MOT without any issue of course. Car has only done 19.000km and most of the parts are changed in that time
After Martijn download the software out of the ECU and Dr Rossi made a log of the drive he jump into his laptop... George already mapped quite some N18 JCW's but this was the first 218HP version. Also the latest ECU version is in the GP2 (same as the countryman JCW 218HP)

This ECU has more maps and possibilities so after George changed number in all maps (around 7 hours work) he made the first test drive. also during that drive he is logging parameters. Of course adjustment needed to be made.

I left home that evening around 22:00 hours but George still continue with adaptations of small settings. At 23.00 hour a movie came online on the instagram of Bytetronik. George made a run with the final modifications....

This looks wonderful. Also in the higher RPM is still goes on.
I could pick up the car as the Coolerworx still need to be installed by Martijn but he was also very busy due to the Bytetronik tunings week.

This gave me some time to put some wheel sealant on my OZ's rims...

The Friday 23rd I went to Martijn to pick up the GP.... First a slow warmup round, get some petrol and back to the garage to make a drive together with Martijn.... What a blast! The really changed the car into next level. So fast but also so clean and smooth... Even at higher RPM where quite often MINI's with the stock turbo drop this one is going on...
The shifter is also really great. Really match the car.

I ordered at Lohen the 3D plates they developed for the CAE shifter... This will hold the sport button and the cupholder.
Because I have no other parts of Lohen in my car I took some sandpaper and black spray paint... Gone the Lohen logo...

I saw a a friend of mine a modified ring around the shifter...

This is also a target for me...

The week after we had a meeting in the evening and my friend Kevin took some photo's of the GP2.

The weekend there is a tour with 100 MINI's which I will join and on the 19th we go the Bilsterberg for a Fundraiser for the Day With A Smile foundation. It's in Dutch but google translate will help.....

To keep it small: The foundation is organizing event for very sick and/or handicapt children including their families to have a Day with a Smile.... All events are car related... we take kids on a tour in the car, go to a theme park or zoo.... So the kids don't think about their handicapt or disease.

If you want to help you can donate for already €5,00... Just click here to Donate
Just click on the blue "DONEER" button which you see in the link.

So a little update on the project 0953.

The OS Giken LSD is working really great... Car is so fast in the corners.
Software mapping of Bytetronik is next level. We went to the Bilsterberg track and a person with a Audi RS5 joined me and after the trip he is going for a MINI as well... Also had a guy driving a Z4 M coupe in my car and he said: the build up of the power feels like an atmospheric engine... Quite a compliment if you ask me.
Some photo's of that weekend:

Because sometimes some stuff move forward from the back during braking I added some nets:

Of course I will continue to upgrade this GP2... So next mod will be an Aquamist HFS-4 system to keep the temperatures down with 30+ Degrees outside.
And we are looking for the details on the mods for this winter. This is the planning:
New Pistons [Mahle]
New Cranks [Mahle]
New bearings
New Headbolts [ARP]
Hybrid Turbo - Tips are welcome!!!

But first enjoy the season...

Time for an update on this topic....
In september we went with some friends to the UK (Lake District and Scotland).... What a great trip!
Some info can be found on the dutch forum: https://www.newminiclub.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43423

Set of Tires have arrived:

Also the Ultraleggera's are for sale...(17x7 ET37 with Yokohama Advan AD08r 205/45/17). Send me a message if interested.

I ordered a set of ATS DTC 17x7.5J ET33 front ET40 back in silver via WWW.MINISPEED.EU

To check the power before the winter upgrade I went to Beek Auto Racing in Holland to put the GP2 on the Dyno:

First strap it...

https://youtu.be/U_AGvlTTFg4

The restult:

A nice curve at the the torque tip at 5700RPM. I like it!

Than the winter project:
Also some other parts arrived:
The Aquamist HFS-4
The Owen Development Hybrid K04 Turbo

K04 Turbine wheel
63.5MM Billet compressor wheel
Uprated 360 thrust bearing
Uprated heatshield
Profile exhaust housing for K03 turbine wheel
Profile comp housing for 63.5mm billet comp wheel
According to Owen this baby is good for 330BHP... :tongue_smilie:
If we are above 300BHP and 400NM of Torque I will be happy.

The Supertech Pistons and rods will arrive around Christmas

We were doubting to go for 1:10.5 (stock) or 1:10.0 compression value...

When the ARP head studs and new bearings arrive we can start building up.... So this will be in January... Will keep this topic updated!

Small update.
I saw I forgot to update over here.

As everything arrived we could start building.

In the meantime we found special coated Wiseco pistons 1:9,3 compression.

Together with the Supertech rods

And all inside the bottom section.

This is some engine porn... Me happy!

Also the ARP headbolt arrived:

Soon the gearbox will be connected, the Aquamist HFS-4 unit installed and than reunited with the GP2.

Oooh boy I wonder how this will drive when this is finished.
