After having a very nice and fully modded MINI Roadster for 4,5 years we needed a new project.

So just before Christmas 2016 I bought myself GP2 #0953. I'm now making a the topic on Torque as well...

11.500 km on the clock

I imported the car myself from Germany. Bought it at the MINI dealer Neumarkt around Nürnberg.

Begin 2017 I got the licence plate of the car.

First step:
Get it detailed!
Car is washed, clayed, polished, coated
For the coating they used 4 layers of Gyeon MOHS. The best coating you can get.

But anyway Project GP0953 update:

This day I didn't had a lot of time. So only installed the OEM secret glovebox. I need to glue the GP sticker back on it. Than the photo will follow

Also I took all the air hoses away as they will be change for the larger Forge ones

And very happy with the backplate in the boot.
I needed the cut a part out due to the rollbar but it full operational again. The side I will cover as well with the parts cut out!

And again a new day..

Project oilcooler was quite a job!
As we want to install a oilpressure sensor there was an extra connection on the adapterplate. This was really to close to the oil filter housing. So we needed to take something off.

And than it fits!

Also the 85 degrees thermostat needed to have a spot to connect

And when it finished it looks like this:

The smart watcher see as well a red Forge resonator delete. Also this is installed!

After this we could install the new Airtec intercooler

To have the oilcooler lines nicely fitted we needed to adapt the air brake ducts. As we have done this before we knew what to do.

Still to do:
Change also the other Forge noise generator delete
Connect the cables for the led driving lights
Connect oil pressure sensor to the P3 unit
Cruise control will be installed, error of the Recaro CS reprogrammed and change language to English.

So new update.

I went to Ben van Leeuwen in Holland. Ben van Leeuwen | It's all about Mini!

This place is know about their service for the classic MINI but over the last years the are also actively working with the new MINI's.

Biggest reason I went to them is to install cruise control in the GP2. A lot of people worldwide tried but didn't succeed. But son Tom knows what he is doing.

After 4 hours I had:
Update on language
Comfort closing on window passenger side
Code the Recaro's CS
Switch off notifications of no seatbelt use (due to Schroth harness)
Cruise control

Also my friend Rob was there with his GP2 to code his Recaro's CS so they were also proud they had 2 GP2 in their workshop.

If you are in Holland and want to see also their museum with very special classic go there!!!
This family has really MINI passion.

Engine bay upgrade with Forge

For the Forge turbo inlet hose we took the one for a MINI R60 and upgrade this with the Revotec SST8K Hose Take off Kit for 8mm the connect the tube from the side.

Fits perfect!
