do you not have a wire clip on these that passes through the cup and hooks over the cable?

Been busy today

Rust wasn’t as bad as I was expecting

Going to need to sort out some extra parts as whilst I’m here, might as well..

Hand brake cables
Discs and pads
R56 calipers
Both hard lines
Rear flexi lines

That should complete a total refresh of the back end once complete, mot and drive it

Mine looks very similar underneath. I thought it was a lot worse but a lot of it was just staining. I did consider slapping on a thick coat of old school underseal and forgetting about it, but as the car's a keeper the thought of having so scrape it all off again at some point didn't sound like much fun

So discovered my cheap air compressor can’t run a die grinder for more than 5 seconds, so a perfect excuse to buy an electric one...

Sold my spc/eibach rear arms so with that money burning a hole in my paypal account I bought a set of Renault Megane RS caliper adaptors.

so I’m on the look out to get the rest of the required bits

All cleaned back to bare metal, treated with bilt hamber hydrate 80, then their zinc primer, also used buzzwelds cavity paint in the tubes that run either side that carry the evaporate lines all topped off with buzzwelds bedliner.

Sub frame is been built back up and got the bits to redo my hard brake lines

Thanks,

Given that the car is quickly approaching it’s 17th birthday I’ve treated it to some adaptors to run megane rs3 front calipers and gp2 discs

Want to fit my JCM exhaust but it’s for a fl car, mine been a 12/2003 build is pre fl, so I ordered the correct exhaust hangers and installed x4 m8 rivnuts to fix the inner mounts to the car.

All painting complete and started building up the subframe and trailing arms

Also need to swap the helper springs on the rear for some 20mm longer as I want to drop the rear slightly more

Subframe on, knd control arms fitted, knd trailing arm mounts fitted, r57 trailing arms fitted

Track reduced slightly as the 17x8 with 215/45 cup 2 were fouling the arch on hard compressions
