Then I had one trackday and noticed that handling needs quick upgrade
Powerflex to lower engine mount, Vibratech engine mount, front wishbone powerflex and H&R lowering springs
Alsso I wanted maintenance SC, put new BPV and to keep IAT´s to down with Airtech IC

At this point were:

ENGINE
-17kavs
+2 kavs crank
NGK sparkplugs
Airtec IC
Better Ignition leads
Tune

SUSPENSION
Powerflex to Frontwishbone and lower engine mount
Vibratech enginemount
H&R -40mm springs

It was BIG DISAPPOINTMENT that I didn´t took bhp´s before I started this
Fucking hell man can be stupid :w00t:
But with these my JCW made 218 bhp´s. I was not happy with that at all. Dynos are taken with dynojet at my friends carage
Eventhou he said he adjusts everything that it is sure I don´t get any free horses from there, I was disappointed with those readings

Driving was pretty smooth. And very good daily driving
But at track suspension was way too loose and when braking from high speeds, it was very unstabile
Have to improve that and allso brakes were original. Boosted with EBC yellow stuff at front
But like everybody knows, those start fading after 2-3 laps and are not for anything. Allso have to think those at future

Last pic from previous post, is how my car looked at that moment

Next thing was EBC discs to front & Carbotech XP10 pads.
That set up was HUGE improvement combined to yellow stuff pads.
Eventhou those were not so comfortable for daily driving. Softer the braking was, that bigger SQUEEK sound it made
I did 3 trackdays at one summer. After that pads were out of game

You can see how much more those were weared from center than the ends
Allso the whole shape of the pads has changed. Now those were more U shape than straight
One more thing to do list for next winter. Brake cooling hoses

Now to brake airducts.

I Try to find nice & cheap plug´n play tupe ducts, but I found those very expensive.
So had to start make those my self.

I went to local hose shop and bought 1,5meter flexibel hose. That cost under 15€
That was easiest part. Then unmount foglights and look littlebit bigger pipe somewhere at junkyard
for luck there was such a pipe and allso some thin metal bar what I can use allso
Cutting, Grinding and welding. Voila´hose holders has are made
Now hose to it´s place, cable tie it.
Rivet holders to foglight place and using bolt & nut I place otherside to wishbone

Not so professional and stylish but those are working pretty good.
No more brake fading at all and allso Carbotech pads keeped in it´s form better next summer

Finally, a project thread of the fastest R53 in Finland. Having driven this car in it's current form on a race track, all I can say is WOW! Only thing it needs is some proper seats.
I've been in this thing as a passenger and holy crap it does move :scared: Seats with better side support would be great. On the track I didn't know what to hold to in the corners

Looks great Pete, some nice mods so far!
I do love the colouring of a checkmate.

Out of interest how have you found the sprintex unit?
Also what pully combo are you running with it please?

Thanks Ryan!
Blue and silver are good color combo

I have have drived now 2 years with Sprintex
Only summertimes tough, because I live in Finland and don´t want spoil my mini with ice, salt, high minus celsius etc
I have been quite satisfied with it. Easy bolt on kit and no problems at all so far
Offcourse I wanted more out of it, but let´s get that later in this project topic
Currently I have +2 Kavs crank pulley and 60mm sprintex pulley

What's it at now? (hp)

Any of the tensioner issues reported by others, or water pump?

What's the rest of your setup, doeblep? How much boost are you seeing? And also, are you monitoring your IAT?
As Sean asked, have you head any tensioner related issues? And what about oil consumption on the charger? I'd say that combo is pretty aggressive for a car that sees track, but I'll wait for your comments.

Wow you are really spinning that thing up then!

Citro will be along shortly with a lot of curiosity on your set up, that I can guarantee.

So what ambient temps do your roughly there with your use?

Only i run a sprintex as well. Great unit so far for me. That's on the stock crank and 60mm pully also.

Currently I couldnt imagine spinning it any faster without meth or some other cooing option. As in summer months I can hit 50c IAT on a full pull from 2nd to 5th, no worse than the m45 really from my logs made.
