I'm having a problem with no power under 2000 revs, as soon as it hits around 2k it picks up and takes off fine.

I had it de-coked and remapped with new spark plugs yesterday thinking that would sort it, but it's now even more apparent and makes it very hard to drive.

It's an automatic too so when it changes gears below 2k, it bogs down then takes off as it hits 2k.

It had a new turbo and ignition coils last month.

Any advice or thoughts on what it could be?

Timing chain was replaced about 25k miles ago. I keep the oil topped up etc.

Could the vanos solenoid cause issues like this?

If you have a scanner or gauge look at commanded throttle opening from 1200-2200rpm. You can power brake it and watch. I too have a very similar issue from what I’ve found it’s the throttle closing as you come up to 2000rpm. My suspicion is its related to vanos transition which appears to become active above 2000 rpm. I have driven hundreds of these cars and for some reason only a hand full of these have this issue, mine included. I’d be interest in hearing from runners that work in these lower load areas and can get rid of the stupid ecu logic.
