My old r53 was written off end of 2014. Picked up this BRG r56 shortly after, got it cheap and needed a few things doing.
Its not the cleanest bodywork but I didn’t care. It has a few more battle scars from track days now.





Stuff done in order:

Removed the homo chequered roof




Drilled some holes, fitted old Sparcos evo and Sabelt harness





Replaced rear callipers, fitted new EBC Yellow pads and ultimax disc



Drilled some more holes, fitted BC coilovers





Fitted my old wheels TD 1.2

Evolve Decat fitted

New timing chain setup etc
Top end engine gaskets, oil pan gaskets etc replaced
Trip to Lohen for remap stage 2+





Clutch blew up
Trip to Lohen new Helix paddle clutch and flywheel
Waterpump blew up
Rearwipe broke, £2 rubber plug from Halfrauds
Removed the homo bonnet stripes



Cheap catch can



Future plans.... Moar Power!!

Good start with R56 ownership and nice wish list
Surprised you did all that without FMIC though !
How much do you generally gain with a fmic?

My cooper S made 240+ with a stage 2+ at lohen. But the dyno was on the blip so we never did find out what it actually made. Damn near shat the turbo out a few months after

As Jack says, I thought an upgraded FMIC was pretty much mandatory for stage 2

Not sure if fmic is mandatory for stage 2, i can see why but i know they were still developing the maps when my was in, not long after mine was mapped the popcorn tune came out

I know some minis have had a stage 2 without an fmic but it will feel sluggish on got days mind

Latest Update:
Spark plug 3 was blown, sounded like a Subaru haha.



Radiator was leaking and expansion tank cracked so replaced them.



Bought an Airtec FMIC and fitted.



Fitted GFB DV+

Update:

Got rid of the old Sparco pro 2000, bought new Sparco Rev and 6 point harness.



New manifold and turbo fitted a week ago.



New lines, nuts and gaskets.





Some exhaust work today, then a remap tomorrow.

Bought a few bits when i was at Lohen:

SPS switch
Samco intake hose, the stock one was split.
CravenSpeed Chimex

Latest dyno figures:



Going to do a oil change this weekend.

Another night wrenching way.
PCV valve was faulty, so had to replace the entire rocker cover(Pricey) STUPID bmw design :cursing:
