Welcome to my project thread, some of you may know me off totalmini. BLAHBLAHBLAHBLAH :tongue_smilie: I got my 2001 chilli red cooper for my 17th birthday and set about destroying it ever since :blushing::blink:

This is basicly what it looked like only with more chrome :blushing:

Initial mods were S side vents, fuel cap and spot lamps, to add to the fail and fakeness i added some replica R90's and a K&N typhoon. So as it stood i had a sort of S replica with OEM wheels, wheel gap and stickers, all i needed was some plasti dip :tongue_smilie:

]

Things started to get better though, i added a aero spoiler and S rear bumper and side skirts :thumbup1:

Up next was a S steering wheel, facelift centre console and Boost CD head unit.

I then proceeded to set my brake pads on fire on the road  so it was time for a brake upgrade, this came in the form of JCW brakes, mintex pads and S/S hoses

Then a JCW gearknob

And a matching dashboard

I then had a custom interior done, still not fitted it all though due to other problems

everything flocked with alcantara detailing, pictures really dont do it justice

Then a cock in the snow caused this and drove off

So all exterior pictures from now on are from the passenger side :(

Anyone know where i can get a door and S bonnet in red?

Then that dreaded day or so i thought came, one too many lauches,i went to pull away from the lights and lost all drive with an almighty bang :crying::cursing:

I suspected that my midlands box had had enough of me so armed with supered mechanical know how ( i once changed the oil and plugs :blushing: ) i ordered up all the parts for a 6 speed conversion

Facelift box with LSD, clutchmasters flywheel and fx200

I completed this in a record time of 8 weeks :blushing:::getcoat::  It was done on the driveway thought so some sympathy please :crying:

While the car was it bits i picked up a full set of S bumpers and side skirts for a great price off king james, only wanted the front but couldnt persuade him to split them, sold the rest on though now :D

And fitted some aero grills

While the car was in bits i decided to polybush as much as i could do. wishbone bushes were just the most amazing transformation i've made to it, i also did the ARB, steering rack gearbox and lower engine mount. This was a bad move, the car vibrates so much now the rear view mirror isnt useable at some points!

Belt line was done last weekend but i'm not sure if i prefer the chrome

I then decided to stip the rear seats and interior out, heaven knows why because its like sitting inside a tin can

interior has gone back in bar the seats and seat belts as i love the flocking. I've also made a total flat floor out of MDF which just needs carpeting now

Pictures to follow shortly

Thanks mate, suspension will be a while as coilover money was spent on the gearbox and i'm not going down the route of springs you'll be happy to know

Exhuast will be next, its at the point where it just sounds nice so that hole will get big soon, borla cooper copy only centre exit :thumbup1:
