Hi All,

so i have been meaning to do a thread for a while now.

bought the car with 29k on, now at 40k.

Bought my Ds & White R53 back in June 2012, never occurred to mod it, but in March 2013, bought a GTT CAI & got the bug from there on.
machine polished it in Aug 2013,, took 2 weeks...

i know you all hate, strips, spots, generic wheels, but here goes....

Well at least you got rid of the S spokes. They look nice but they don't anything for handling or power steering pumps. And I can't help thinking that a DS/W would look pretty good on white wheels.

[Gorgeous interior, cracking engine bay, terrible exterior /]

as meatloaf said "2 0ut of 3 aint bad.....I will sort out the cosmetics, ideally would like are front aero bumper, aero grill, Joey'd FL HL's with cc'd rings and aero skirts, but as that's a cost of aboud a grand, that's more performance parts :)

And I can't help thinking that a DS/W would look pretty good on white wheels.

I looked at the white wheel option when I bought these last summer, basically I had a limited budget and original brake pads, so keeping them clean would be a pain and was still thinking of doing, black roof & mirrors which IMO is a much better combination, but is quite popular.

keeping any wheels clean is a chore; don't bother converting to a DS/B as we've all got one.

Looks good but then I also liked it before.

I don't understand why people on here don't like things like stripes, spots etc. It's one of the biggest boons for buying a mini in my opinion. For the money you can buy a car that's faster, more practical, better handling, more economical etc etc. But you can't buy many other things that let you express your individuality so freely.

So I attempted to do my rear lights this weekend, 1 cracked slightly, but ordered another one for £25.

And gave the car a wash, I also attempted to do an oil change, but the garage rounded the sump plug on the last service, grr.

Dilemma time....

So I have saved up some cash, do I-

1, go down the styling route
Aero bumbler, side skirts and facelift xenons
Or
2 550 injectors, catcam & tune, 1320 quoted me about 1400 for this, not quite there yet, is it worth it?

I would go with option 2 if it was me but hey it's your car bud
