I've owned my mini for 5 years so thought it was time I started a thread. I purchased it back in November 2012 with 64k on the clock. I started to do little bits but then lost interest. After a couple of years I've rediscovered my enjoyment for the mini, rejoined this forum and I'm ready to continue this project.

Looking good

How do you find the Direnza exhaust? any drone at 70mph?
To be honest I didn't plan on getting the Direnza. The mini failed an mot as the standard exhaust had rotted through. I looked for a 2nd hand standard and they were around £275 or I could get brand new stainless for £300. I like it, it's fairly quiet on tick over and general driving but when you put your foot down it makes a nice sound. It does pop too. No drone at 70mph, my old cars were really loud at that speed but this is fine, even at 90mph if you're on a budget I would recommend it.

I think he means the rear, and I think it's been done before...

Not that that's a bad thing...

I think it's just the black trim piece....

Lower bumper trim around exhausts and inserts either side of fog light.

Update :

After a quiet November I picked up BCambray’s old JCW Aero front bumper last weekend. Now need to save for the respray.


New black wheel bolts and locking bolts have arrived from Mini Sport for my R112s. Just need new centre caps in the new year then I can get them fitted.


Went out for a little night drive after a good clean and back to black.
