Surprised no one has bitten, I was gifted one by a very kind member of this forum and it made such a difference to the gear change. Only downside is the bottom cover of the shift unit needs to be removed to accomodate it and did notice a bit more exhaust heat making it through the transmission tunnel into the car.

It's possible to manufacture a sort of an extension box to the bottom cover to make room for the short shifter. That's what I did with the Greene short shifter which is similar to the Helix.

And I agree, it really makes a difference.
