I took the sump off my 2006 mini cooper s and found the camchain guide in the bottom and some metal bits its the metal bit im worried about any ideas

The guides are metal and plastic if I remember rightly.
Could be bit of timing case too.

Yep, all timing chain.

The piece at the top right I THINK is part of the oil pump housing which seems to be a normal thing to break off in a couple of engines I've seen.

Check your oil pickup isn't blocked up with more bits.

Would imagine that's rattling good if you run it which I wouldn't advise at all. The good news is replacing the timing chain guides is pretty straight forward on these engines - should be able to do it in an hour or two subject to the (good) advice above. Good luck.
