We simply said to Ric Woods - 'We want better valve guides to put up with full abuse and he did the rest' .
Nice Bronzonium guides came on the TPR-3 and the Crower Springs too but CNC heads use normal Mini stuff as i think we are the first one's to really want to push it on track as he is so busy with other cars the Mini isn't a big seller . That's why I'm happy we are really local for freshening it up and looking at further improvements if it's needed . Ric is confident it won't as his way is - do it the best and then that's it . But it all remains to be seen how things perform but I'm not at all worried about it's reliabilty or performance .

Pretty sure it won't be ready now as it's not going for the engine loom until very late August (Bank holiday i expect ) , plus we have no money left to test it and enter TA sadly . Damn those lottery winners !!

Cool, good to know. Always had it in my mind from the track Scotland site that you were up that way. Ric is a friend of Guy's and well respected so you're in good hands. Are you using the Quaife gear kit?

Lee is the Scottish part , I'm Manchester and Ric is stockport based so 15 minutes away

First outing in 18 months scheduled for 18/19 April . She's now very conservatively mapped to 314 bhp and 242 lb/ft spooling at 3700 ish on just gate pressure for now until it's put through its run out and checked. Then it's down to the dyno for full power run and some cold mapping before going to Bruntingthorpe to map properly.
Brands Hatch and Oulton Park Time Attack are the target this year if things work out

Finally got to Time Attack so happy . Car was way down on power but I still massively enjoyed the day with good mates
