Cybox exhaust any good?

4342 Views 7 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  tommarston93
Hey guys

I want a new exhaust system but at the minute I'm earning a crappy apprenticeship wage (£100 a week). I just wanted to know if Cybox systems are any good (Considering the price)? It would only be until I start earning a decent wage. Would it be a complete waste of time and I should just save towards something better like a Scorpion or Borla system?

Cheers

Stock system is free and you won't lose power.

Stop worrying about wasting your money on tat, save what you can during you apprenticeship (but don't forget to enjoy yourself) and add that to your full wage when you get on the full package to treat your Mini.

Then again.. I bet you'll buy an S by then and boy, won't you be glad you didn't waste your time or money buying rubbish mods on an NA Mini?

This, i've done exactly that, and could've brought an S ages ago if i hadn't fecked around tuning NA. NA does have its perks though, but just doesn't produce the numbers in comparison, and i build NA race engines (not MINI ones though.)

Saying that, i'm planning on sticking with mine, big works in the pipeline.

Engine swap + cheap cooper tax ftw. Wish I'd gone down that route
That's for the advice guys. I don't mind spending a bit on this as I have never done it before so I'd like to gain some experience.

You are correct I will be wanting an S a few years down the line but for now I'm more than happy with the R50.

I think I will save for something better than a Cybox system.
Its worth saving for the Borla Cooper system as it works very well on the S as well.
I'm running a Milltek for what its worth, happy enough with it.
I've managed to bag myself a deal for a scorpion system for £110 so I'm more than happy with it now :)
