My dad was timing the cars (again I know you shouldn't on a trackday) also go pro and my friends timing on his phone app supported this.

It may well be faster than an R53 and I wouldn't be surprised tbh, sussex road and race who run in mini challenge were explaining the difference in how the cars weight is allot better distributed on the 56 than 53. I won't quote how much as I'll prob get it wrong but it was noticeable.
Both cars were flying, there is a video on the trackday thread with a 55 sec lap from the last session.
I'm going to call you out on this dude!
Would be good to see some evidence of you doing a 53.8! That's a mega time if true! Quicker than a lot of the time attack classes especially Pocket Rocket buy almost a second ( I know as I raced in it)
If you could put the video up as I know brands very well and also instruct there so would be interested to see which lines you were taking and not to hit traffic on the track!
Almost as quick as the F56 mini challenge cars with slicks and seasoned racing drivers!

Call me out if you want mate, there is a video above showing a lap just under 55 with some traffic. This was the last stint we did out on track in my car as it started to spit with rain but nothing came of it really until after the evening finished.
I was not driving the car, but my mate was. He is pretty experienced on track, especially at brands as he also used to work there.
It's r56 challenge mini pace. They have less power but less weight.
I know an f56 challenge car that tested at brands and was lapping comfortably under 50 seconds.
Also for comparison Super Coopers which are effectively a standard r53 that's stripped running an equivalent tyre compound were doing 55's.

Anyone that attended can vouch for the pace of my car and jakes throughout the evening.

Tony Gilham's Team Hard were on track with one of their golf race cars and a few of the team getting the car ready between going out etc. Admittedly I don't know who was driving but it didn't keep pace with either of the r56's mentioned.

I have a friend who works in BTCC so can see if I can find out for you if you'd like.

I appreciate the pace sounds OTT in your opinion I'm just stating the times I was told from somebody else timing and what video footage supported.

Don't think I can see the video
I'm not saying that their OTT at all! I'm saying if they were true then that's bloody good!!

I need to get my car to a decent track standard then come with you guys to one of these! Brands is only 40mins from me

Depends tbh, finished with fresh engine back in the car, 12 months MOT, web spokes refurbished and the car fully detailed.
£6250. If someone wants it with the engine and an MOT but not fussed about the wheels or detailed I'd do it for a bit less.

It's a bargain either way IMO anyway.
The car is a 2009 MCS with a pretty huge spec and it's ridiculously clean.
