you won't be able to resist swapping the fuel cap and you know it.....

brakes are smaller than the ones you have....

also looks like the cat/dpf has been smashed out if that pic detail is what I think it is? Plate welded over the housing, will fail an MOT (evidence of interference)

2.0d motor is totally different, turbo/mani/DPF at the back, but the link pipe could be adapted, only a short pipe so not high cost

it won't be easier than getting the old bearing out of the hub, they drop out with a hammer clout or two, the problem can be getting the shaft out of the bearing, they may be thinking it's a press out bearing which it isn't, unless they don't expect to get the bearing bolts out easily? It comes with the flange the wheel attaches to and shaft passes through etc. 4 bolts hold the unit to the knuckle, 1 nut for the shaft, still nothing wrong with having a go with used but so you know, it isn't saving anyone much work ;O)

definitely looks like a spring, trouble is when they go the speed sensor wire and brake hose clipped into the damper bracket get landed on by the spring with the weight of the car behind it, the coils at the break point are usually wider than the perch the bottom of the spring normally sits on, so the spring drops right past hence the lights as the wire gets trapped/strained, and it will leave you at risk of brake failure, because the hose may now be supporting the car, if it doesn't give it could still hold the brake on or reduce its function as it'll work like a hose clamp,

basically, I wouldn't drive on it like that

are you using a hex socket? If you are try thumping a 12 over the bolt, note that the cheap bearings might not come with bolts, SKF do which ECP will have in stock most likely fwiw
