So here we go

from rusty old manifold to this.....

Scott has done a fantastic job creating a tomcat from my existing cat cut out from the old manifold

after that was done and fitted the car was strapped down for a dyno run to see what sort of power it was putting out before the 15%pulley is fitted along with a proper bytronic remap and 550 injectors

The final result being 165 bhp at the wheels which equates to 195 bhp at the crank

had a little friend keeping an eye on me today as well

Stereo swap today, this one as good as it is is an absolute swine to get into the dash as you have a big cage and have to get the wires in place before you start to push it in, took me about an hour to eventually get it into place, worth it though!

Then it was onto the rattly speaker, sure enough it was pretty wet/rusty connections, however before I got the car the window on that side wasn’t correctly aligned, there doesn’t look to be fresh water in the bottom of the door so I removed the old speakers.....

and fitted an Edge 6.5 component speaker and tweeter as well as putting a bit of sound deadening in the door

That’s as far as I got as it wa s getting cold and dark, don’t need the car this week so I may try and do a bit in the afternoons after work but it may have to wait until next weekend to get the drivers side speaker and the rear 6x9 in place

some better pics of the G Wing and cooper spoiler

And some subtle1320 decals

The speakers are fitted in the drivers side now but taking the door card off appears to have buggered up the central locking, I think maybe the door pin is not sitting right as it’s not moving up enough, when you push the button on the key the door won’t lock or unlock, it will do both with the key in the lock though (but that is very stiff too, may have to WD-40 it)

I’ll take it back off tomorrow and have a tinker with it if I get a chance, may remove the back seats to get to the 6x9s in the rear quarters too, the only issue I have is when I get home from work I only have about an hour of daylight to work with

also got a black fuel cap on the way too

Don't mind it being chilly as can wrap up and usually get toasty, rain can be a pain though.

I use those foam floor tiles if I'm working on the car and the floor is damp, then air them out in the garage after.

Planned on doing the spotlights I got off dave^ today and then do the wiring from the headunit to the amp but it went cold very quickly once the sun disappeared behind the houses so I just fitted the amp for the sub ready for the wiring between Christmas and new year

going to keep this boot build as minimal as possible just a board for the amp and a single bass box, Im was big fan of Rockford Fosgate equipment in the 90s so I thought I’d go back to them with a classic amp, not the mid 90s ‘landmine’ type I used to have but the later model from 1999-2000 era

I’ll most likely use the black bass box I have instead of the red one (which was the first to hand for photos), if I mount it on a couple of pieces of 1 inch square runners it will fit further back under the corner shelf than in the pics

I’m also planning on swapping the JBL sub for a Rockford Fosgate dual voice coil sub running at 4ohm from the amp in mono which should sound awesome
