I bought my R56 callipers, carriers and lines new from Mod-A-Mini. I was tempted by the Budweg four pots but they cost a bit more and my Mini is a second car and I have a budget to keep.

Now they have bedded in I am quite impressed. They are a significant upgrade on the standard R53 brakes. A job worth doing, especially when you need to change discs and pads.

Calipers are looking good.

I'd get some new pads, maybe discs too. That way you know where you are.

Always be certain when it comes to brakes.

Car is looking good and running well.

A set of aero skirts (personally not so keen on the aero bumpers) would finish that off a treat and they are a simple fit.

At this rate of spending Jim, you could have bought a new Mini Cooper S, but we men all know that's not the point when it comes to your car!

I have found some good deals on eBay for my Mini:

Steering wheel for £80 (with airbag)
Aero skirts in correct colour £175 (needed the black bits painting)
Rear lights PFL (with clear indicators) £60

And a good few more...

Really pleased with them, may drop it by a touch more next time it’s at seans house (when he fits the top mounts for me) but as already mentioned to me by him it may also benefit from 215/45 profile tyres too

I have a pair of mk3 Focus RS brake discs and matching Brembo calipers in my garage. They won't get fitted until spring.

Have you got the additional brackets for the aero skirts? I can't see them in your picture. They are the black bits clipped to the blue.

I used textured paint for the black bits on my aero skirts (they were all blue). They still look good now.
