So a few months ago I bought Ian's Cooper S with a dropped valve. Never planned to replace my white car but it was a good price so hard to pass.

Originally planned on engine swapping my Cooper but in reality it wasn't worth the time and money so decided to bring it back to standard and sell as much as I was attached to it.

Had the car picked up for the very long journey to...not home.

Had the car dropped off at Paintkillers to have the car wrapped.

So there's a number of red bits still, because I was waiting to get a JCW rear bumper, the side skirts off my white car and another LCI Cooper S front bumper. All have been sorted and should be on the car soon along with some Carbon bits like scoop and a pair of A-Panels from our kid JMC.

Once the car was home I could start addressing the engine...which has seen better days to say the least....

Got hold of an engine that spun a bearing but the top end is good and I'll be using the head off it

Got the head off the donor engine and my good man Joe stripped the original bottom end ready for machining. This really showed the extent of the damage...check that piston out

Block and head are currently being machined ready for the rebuild, also waiting on a couple bits like ARP head studs which had to come from America and a Quaife Diff as well.

JCW turbo

My friend had this reg up for sale and I couldn't resist I think it will suit the car

Also decided I need some new dubs as the Tarmacs are on the heavier side

I'll be needing a big brake kit as well as some decent suspension but this will have to wait until the white car is back to standard fully and sold.

Currently thinking K sport 330mm & Cobra EVO R.

Then a Wiechers/Custom full cage finished in yellow along with the brakes.

Then Manic Stage 3 Map and onto the track.

Joe's a good mate of mine and did it over a few weeks so not a true representation of normal cost. Best to message him on Facebook or email him!
