I used to have one of these was a great car good luck with the sale fella
Thanks westy, I've had a go in a few mini's over the past 5 years, had a go in my old mans R53 Cooper and that was a blast just for chucking around never ceased to bring a smile to my face, had a go in my sis's R53 One and although that was underpowered massivly was still comical to chuck around on the rubber band tyres. finally had a go in an R56 MCS which brought the power that it desperatly needed, had to let that one go though as it was a fully packed one. so now after a cheapish R56 MCS to get it upto 260bhp, to at least compete with the performance i am used to. so its either a R56 MCS or an Evo 8 FQ300.I used to have one of these was a great car good luck with the sale fella
Funny you say that, i was looking at R26's but not enough poke for me tbh, I need a car over 200bhp/ton. a tuned MCS is about 230bhp/ton. which is adequate.I do sometimes miss the turbo poke of the S3 it was slightly modified had a BMC carbon induction kit,Jetex cat back exhaust and a forge diverter valve it sounded epic especially when revved it was also Imola yellow with the silver mirrors it was lowered on springs and running 18" OZ Titan wheels i will have a look to see if I can find any pic's. I have had a Clio 182 with cup packs and a Megane R26 since but now that I have put a 17% pulley on the mini its the closest thing to the Audi
Problem is the MPG on them, a R56 with FMIC, Turbo back decat exhaust system, CAI, resonator pipe and remap, is kicking 260bhp and can return over 30 to the gallon!Go on get a R53 and tune it the whine of the charger is so addictive I'm finding excuses to go out and drive it at the minute cant wait to do the next stage
Well my old man has one in Red/White, which is very nice. blue is nice, but it can't be Silver or Black.Very true I think my next car will be a modified Clubman S there are some really smart ones on here. I think I will keep the white rims that I have on my project thread(project Koop) as I can picture them on a slammed Clubman. What colour R56 are you thinking of?
