Come on folks, whats the best wheel size to run? 16's or 17's?

I'm selling the 4pots, love the 16"'s too much, nitrac discs and carbotech pads for track on now on the to buy list.

From what i see in the pic he is running a massive spacer to clear the Brembos, didn't notice before

No interest in running massive spacers to fit rims, its some stress to put bolts under 2 sheer planes that far apart

I'm running 12mm spacers. Yea only certain rims will fit but I guess most would with a little work.

How many times have you heard bolts sheer? I've never seen or heard it. I've been running spacers for 6 year on various tracks an fast road use an not had 1 problem with bolts sheets or snapping.

In that pic it was 20mm but I bought those as a quick fix.

There's no such thing as a 'best' size.

People who start threads like this never buy decent wheels.

best for what? choose your parameters, ie 16's for comfort, 17's for looks ... you need to consider the width of the rim, the offset, and also the tyres you fit.

I run 15's and 16's for the commute (winter, summer) and 17's for track. Should probably run 16's for the track as well, but found some 17x7 OZ SuperTurismo's in ET40 and ... (well, you know how it is ...)

For fast road use and also for looks. I've got a set of 17" webspokes on run flats (I know run flats are bollocks but its what the car came on) but I'm looking for some new alloys that would be suitable for fast roads and also look the bomb.

get something lightweight - but looks are subjective. Try Rota's maybe.
