I'm in the process of re-working my interior, but I'm very minimalistic.
I've taken off the downtubes - (ugly things). I've also removed the centre console (plastic surrounding the gearstick, cupholders, etc). Lastly, I've removed the plastic tray/shelf thing underneath the stereo...
I'm running a 2004 R53. Spent a couple of hours taking my interior apart so that I could change the speedo/tacho LEDs from orange to white. I saw some helpful forum posts and got down to the circuit boards with minimal trauma. If anyone wants to ask questions, go ahead.
I have recently bough a second hand R50 and it's in brilliant condition apart from a few scuff marks on the interior plastic trim. Has anyone got any tips or products they used to bring it back to looking like new and removing the marks?
Or is it like trying to polish a turd?
I'm looking to get a new JCW steering wheel for my R56. I normally prefer full leather but the leather/alcantara one looks very nice too. However, I'm worried about the leather/alcantara one wearing down very quickly.
For those who have this steering wheel, what prompted you to go for...
I actually more or less finished my Blue racer project (of course 300% maintance will still be included and also few changes in interior maybe) and after hard working every mile in this 120000 km long period (the engine is still without problems) and huh heh maybe 5000+ km on the track...
