Question bodywork issues lumps & bumps from under the paint

    Hi All

Hope someone could help me out a bit here, while giving my car a well deserved wash and wax at the weekend i noticed that there are a few (5) of these bubbles in the paint. now with it being a clubman and these being on the back doors I'm not sure that it could be rust forming also they look like they are coming from under the paint. And on a car that isn't even 3 years old i wouldn't expect that yet.

Anyone had these before or could offer some advice as it would be much appreciated.

Also what is the bodywork (paint etc) warranty on a mini is it 3 years?

Paint warranty is 10 years I think. Get it in a dealer and get them to look at it.

I've got a mate who's 2009 Clubman is having a new set of rear doors done by BMW shortly as the repair 3 years ago did not resolve the rust on his doors.

After all these years making cars, you'd think we'd be able to make something that doesn't rust within 3 years!

I say that as a Mini owner (had a rusty tailgate) a MK1 focus owner (had rusty arches) and a MX5 owner (has/had rusty sills).

i was going to swing past the dealer and get them to look at it also as its not great that this is happening on a 3 year old car. Also get them to start the warranty process.

well the dealer has got my car booked into the body shop for getting fixed in the next couple of weeks, either a strip and repaint/repair or it could end up with 2 new barn doors.
