Hmm... just found out the 1.6 is £205 a year in tax... WTF? I thought it would be about £110-120
That quote is probably more because the Eunos is an import.............. Spoken by an X MX5 owner and X hairdresser......

Just a thought ........because the eunos is an import it's much more difficult to get bits......................they are slightly different ..... so if you must........ go for the Mazda mk1 1.8 is ...............they are great in the snow rear wheel arse hanging...................

Well after almost exactly 4 years of questioning my manliness, and all the above abuse, I decided to go for it....

It's an 93' Eunos NA6CE S-Special it came over here 10 years ago and did 18k miles in the previous owners hands. Strutbraces, uprated roll bars, Nardi bits, Bilstien dampers and BBS wheels. Its in good shape but a couple of things that need attention are:

    * Bubbling on one of the rear sills (these are the original sills apparently)
    * Cracked plastic window, hood stitching going (basically a new hood)
    * New springs (corroded and one broken rear coil is over compressed/touching)
    * Full service (cambelt, fuel filter etc)

Also need to sort possibly either a different steering wheel or someway of spacing it out (I'm 6ft and long legged so seat fully back and want the wheel a little closer and less on my knees). Wanted a Momo Prototipo but only come in 350mm and may need smaller so fall back plan will be a Nardi Deep Corn I guess.

Already had a run on my usual roads and its just as much fun as I expected, the cheap arse "Barum" tyres are not grippy at all, which can only add to the fun... they are fairly predictable as in if you chuck it in and hit the power it will break away haha.

I won't be doing much to this car, mainly restoration and enjoyment, as some of you know I can get carried away with expensive parts and not enough trackdays and want to avoid that, I will most likely do the odd track day with mates but I won't be beating the shit out of it like my last car...

My mates are all mad about MX5's. One has a 1.8 mk2 in mint condition on rot as, one had a 1.6 drift nail that was rolled matte black, one has a stock 1.6 and one has a redtop mk1 that's just thrown a valve and it getting rebuilt.

The redtop was such a nail but only got used for skids and it was abused.
