Most people on here use the Janspeed when looking for the best performance, so god knows where you have been reading to see the Milltek is the better choice...

Both are a very similar 4-1 design, its only the 4-2-1 design that is "suppose" to be better low and mid range (I have had both the Janspeed 4-1 and now the OBX 4-2-1)...

The only advantage that has Janspeed is remove the catalyst. In terms of performance do not know what the best, are both good!

The Janspeed is on just about all the big power s/c cars. The Milltek isn't.

Is that down to performance differences ? I would say that its more likely to do with the performance vs. cost comparison between the two...

I would say its more because the janspeed is cheaper and that the cat is removable that it grew to be the more popular - the differences in performance between the two was small so it didnt warrant going for the miltek as it was more expensive...

    Reasons I chose the Janspeed:
    1. Good performance.
    2. Cheap
    3. Removable cat.

    The miltek however is:
    1. good performance still
    2. more expensive
    3. cat remove the cat if fails....

From memory, the Janspeed made more power during the dyno runs the guys did on the old 1320 rollers, the Milltek didn't seem to make much difference.

I have had both, and the Milltek felt slower at the top end - a little strangled!
The Janspeed feels very good at the top end
