NEW! at Lohen - Manic Motorsport Mapping! Stage 1 with Dyno Graphs!

Lohen has teamed up with Manic Motorsport to offer the market-leading Generation 2 MINI mapping solution. The Manic Motorsport Stage 1 tune transforms the standard R56 Cooper S and JCW and adds a generous amount of extra horsepower and torque.

The Manic Motorsport map can be installed on both N14 and N18 Generation 2 MINI engines via the OBDII port without the need to remove and open the ECU. If you purchase an additional SPS switch then you can alter the map between stock, 1A, 1B and 1C modes on your driveway at home.

The Stage 1 tune is suitable for stock R56 Cooper S and JCW MINI models, with either light (panel filter) or no engine modifications. If your MINI has more modifications, then you can benefit from either Stage 1+ or Stage 2 remap. If you upgrade your hardware above this specification, the software can also be further upgraded (for a small premium) to match the new engine modifications.

    Suitable for:

Standard MINIs or with light modifications including:
    Panel filter or air intake
    Cat-back exhaust

    Expected Power:

    • N14 MINI Cooper S 200 - 230 bhp
    • N14 MINI Cooper S JCW 235 - 275 bhp
    • N18 MINI Cooper S 205 - 245 bhp
    • N18 MINI Cooper S JCW 235 - 275bhp

Please note - the higher figures are applicable to MINIs that are in perfect running order, running high-octane fuel and Mode C tune. These figures are quoted by Manic Motorsport - Lohen has only tested an N14 Cooper S currently.

Lohen N14 Cooper S Dyno Results:

    • Standard Car
      184.6 HP @ 5966 rpm
      265.8 N.m @ 4344 rpm

What sort of price is it for a Stage 2 or Stage 3?

You're looking at the following prices:

    Stage 2 £540
    Stage 2+ £600
    Stage 3 £720

If you purchase the first stage you don't pay these figures again, you can 'top up' to upgrade the map if that makes sense? So you can start with the base map at £480 then add on from there.

What mods are required for stage 2 tune? What sort of power/torque increase would be seen on an R60 Countryman Cooper S?

Just to check, I believe this is no longer the case?

Yes this is no longer available. Manic have changed their policy and you do have to pay full price if you wanted to go from a Stage 1 to a Stage 2 etc.

You would need either a panel filter or induction kit, colder temperature spark plugs, sports cat or decat and a performance intercooler. We have seen 240-260bhp from a Stage 2 R60.

Poor show by them I think. Was going to upgrade but they won't get my money now.

Stupid move by Manic. You'll get a lot of people who fancy a stage 1 map who'll then consider upgrading with a few bolt ons for a small fee. Now they'll be left with people either not moving from Stage 1 or waiting forever collecting parts to go Stage 2. Even if they'd just increased the price a bit between stages it'd have made more sense.

A lot of other tuners are the same. (Pay full price for each map)
Itís a business and they need to make money.
