    Another one bites the dust..

Well, it's been an eventful year for Minitorque. It's been an eventful year in my life too.

I just want to thank all the members here for the great banter and help and to those that made the effort to drive to our meets last year. I've met some fantastic people since buying the Mini and even more since I started to work for MT. I'm sure all know who you are.

I will give special mention to John Leccy and Tom Hudson, who have travelled up and down the country to attend the majority of meets regardless of location - a real credit to our growing community. To Batou - who despite our constant bickering, often inspired me to raise my game in many different aspects without even realising he was doing it - I'm genuinely gutted you've sold Domo, but on the other hand, with Joe buying it, I get to be around it more often now. All the guys in the Midlands and Staffordshire that made the Midlands Sunday breakfast meets a success and to all those that have helped me out when it comes to fitting shit to the Bogie.

This year's MiTP stand was a fantastic achievement and the largest stand by far. I'll give special mention to TrackMini, who I was pleased to see were located on the same patch as us so members from both forums could hang out through the day.

I'd also like to thank our fantastic suppliers for their continued support and provision for excellent products and customer service. In particular 1320 for the laughs and making my car solidly reliable and quick, coupled with the fact they broke World records this year - 2014 is going to be VERY interesting on the UK performance Mini scene. And Orranje, who I think are doing everything an online retailer SHOULD be doing - making the products that everyone want accessible in the UK - we asked for the OBX Manifold, we got it. We asked for M7 scoops, we got them. We're lucky to have these guys specialising in the Mini.

So why am I sending my thanks out? Well, from 30th November, I'll be a bog standard member once more. With Lee on his way back to normality, I think I can safely say I feel like we've stretched MT as broadly as we can with the team as it is.

I'm extremely proud of how we've made the forum and in some ways, the MT community a more welcoming and accepting place without losing the sense of humour that draws a lot of people into staying long term. There are many things that still need to change but we've come a long way baby!

There's no doubt, MT is quite a beast these days - to maintain it's current popularity and for it to take the next step in it's evolution, it needs fresh eyes and a commitment much farther on from what is currently being put in - it's going to be tough.

I'd like to thank Team MT for the opportunity to help put this forum on course to something more special - I hope the momentum can be maintained and great things are achieved.

And with that, I look forward to getting back into just starting up a new Project thread and posting what I fucking like.

    Love you MT (Homo).

I think I speak for all of Team MT when I say Adam has done a lot for this forum, so much more than many have seen behind the doors working with the sponsors and the effort he put into MITP was amazing.

Well you were certainly the most accommodating of the team. That will be missed. You also had enthusiasm for MT by the bucketload. You almost made me want to get off my arse on the weekend and join in with one of those meets.

As I told you at MITP, we are MINI FRIENDS. You have done a good job with Lee.

Forum banter/wars/bickering with you was entertaining. I hope the tools don't take over again.

Nah you'll wear me down eventually. By the time our Mini's are 6 generations old and the whine isn't as strong, you'll see me coming down the road to a breakfast meet.
