There was a time when steam absolutely annihilated any computer it was downloaded onto. But I've got to say, it's much better these days.

Yup - I have used it recently and not had issues.

Really enjoying both Dirt 3 and F1 2012
But then again, I just cant get enough on iRacing (queue GT bashing on about it being a rip off etc etc etc!)

lol its a great setup, excellent tracks, but its not good value for money and don't you have issues with the fact that you purchase content that you dont actually own?

Its just a preference but the physics on the road cars suck, especially the tyre model.

I would rather pay 6 for a decent car and well mapped track and have regular updates for the rest of the life of the account, sure!

I am yet to find a setup that replicates actual tyre wear well in all honesty.
For me, playing with the setups is far more beneficial!

Its not just the tyre wear that bugs me, its the unpredictability of the car from lap to lap, I remember they released the Cadilac and it felt great for 2 laps and then the tyres ballooned if you pushed the car hard, tyres like this run for 1+ hour stints in real life and yet these when pushed hard were wrecked after a couple of hot laps.

A lot of the cars also struggle from the numb feeling in the slow corners and its hard to tell where the grip is and if you are under steering, they are big heavy GT cars that dont move much in a low speed corner, they should be pretty planted.

I am not saying they are wrong, as physics and tyre moddeling are always just an opinion, for me the best physics to date are with Game Stock Car, however, I believe that Assetto Corsa will blow everything out of the water.
