    J&R Driveshafts - new boots

I'm going to be replacing my driveshafts soon and from what I've read the J&R one's are fine for the price...most comments, especially on here from the past, have said to change the boot and grease to something improved.

Does anyone know which ones to go for? I think I read something about thermoplastic ones being better than normal rubber ones?

    Any help is appreciated

I've not personally tried them, but I'd be willing to give them a go. Just give them a bit of time to bed in before going full jungle

Just killed a JR boot on their shaft. Looks like the Gkn boot fits, but Alski experienced different in the past.

What are the JR boits made from? I've used neoprene stretchy boots loads in the past and never had any issues. They might be a good alternative

Thanks fellas...I'd been told to try and replace with thermoplast ones but they are harder to get sealed properly supposedly...I do have the tool to do them though. I'll have a look at neoprene boots.

I'd found some Bailcast Duraboots which are supposed to be decent but not 100% sure on the sizes I'd need...on their website it lists the same size one for both outers and inners. I don't think that's correct though.

*edit - The Duraboots are Neoprene ones so going to give those a try once I've got the correct measurements

Have you got one of the anal training cones for the duraboots?
