Introducing Casper...

In March 2010 I bought Casper, a 2005 PW MINI Cooper S, with the idea of taking part in the UK Time Attack series.

The interior strip began:


We took a trip to Coastal Racing for:
*17% Alta Pulley
*MINI Challenge Spoiler
*GP Intercooler
*Corbeau Revolution Racing seat
*TRS Harnesses
*Safety Devices Roll Cage
*Fuel testing kit
*Fire extinguisher
Coastal Racing's service and advice was 1st class and they soon sorted out the only problem I had, not being able to see over the steering wheel


New wheels arrived from Lohen & tyres from TOYO:



Despite the odds we made the first round of Time Attack at Oulton Park - running standard brakes, standard suspension, no tuning:

The new Meister R suspension arrived, fitted at 1320 - top work as always. At the same time Casper was put on the dyno and produced 184.9whp / 162.2wtq.

We did some testing at Snetterton:


I crashed:


I had a nice hug:




Then later in the year 1320 took ownership of the car - did an amazing repair job, modded it and tuned it to 214.4whp / 174.2wtq..

Then exactly a year on since the accident on October 10th 2011 I retook ownership of Casper



I got some new wheels and added some wheel gap

I decided to buy a second MINI for Time Attack instead in the form of a pepper white R53 'Casper'... Pick up on Thursday then the modding begins!
