Drying Towels

I've been washing the car a fair bit recently, and I'm trying to do it better and better each time. I'm getting sick of my chamois, so I want to try a drying towel. Has anyone got one to recommend.

Would anyone rate this particular one?

Cheaper, however you get two in the other pack...how do you use these? Literally just rub the paint work and it all soaks up? I've always been a chamois person...

just dry t like you do yourself after a shower. Its so easy compared to a chamois and does not need to be rung out, just run it over the paintwork. very soft and pulls the dirt away from the paintwork unlike a chamois which just scratches your car.

even my old man bought one last week and managed to do his freelander in one go without a problem.

another drying technique to further reduce the chance of 'damaging' your paint is to use a 'pat-it-dry' method, rather than wiping off the water, you place the towel on top of the paint and pat it - complicated eh?... but in theory, if your car and towel is clean, wiping it dry will do no damage

**p.s. I use poor boys drying towels from polished bliss - they work fine

Does that method actually work?? Plus I'd say you'd need to wring the towel out quite often?

suprisingly yes. but I 'sheet' the water off the car - open ended hose / watering can, and this effectively leaves the car almost bone dry prior to using the towel

I would go for this one, can't recomend it enough.

Chemical Guys Ultra Plush Towel - Miracle Dryer

In terms of sheeting, if you rinse with an open hose you get a steady stream of water rather than spray so the water runs off the car rather than leaving droplets everywhere.
