What an amazing day and a great turnout from MT!

Highlights of the day for me:

• Roysters car sounding mental as it blasted down the start finsih straight
• Tristo loving his new power
• The Power Ranger and Yellow Peril battling it out in a MINI version of Time Attack
• Team 1320 providing first rate track side support to everyone that needed it
• Power Ranger photoshoot on the track, stunning looking photo's, big thanks to Matt Woods
• Nigel's (Brownpants) car... biggest surprise of the day for me, awesomely quick! Top work Nige
• Saad proving a Mini One can have great induction and exhaust noise and hold its own on track
• Joves interview, particularly the exhaust pop that made the windows shake as Gazkart blatted through the gear changes with his dog box down the start/finish straight at 115+mph
• The flamethrower Skyline
• Rjodwyer going out lap after lap after lap then realising towards the end of the day why we use 1320MINI
• The banter, meeting up with old friends and making some new ones

We had a great day out at Brands, real shame about the early incident with Steve's Mini but thankfully nobody hurt and no other serious incidents all day. Really impressed by how some of the Minis were going round there, always makes me smile when something so innocent looking keeps up with the "big power" cars even on the straights .

hello everyone, a little late, but really enjoyed last friday at Brands Hatch... It was great to see Paul/Rob/Tom from 1320 and TDLC again... and meet many others... While looking thru TDLC's pictures, where gazkart is passing the red skyline, I saw that I had my camera in the car... although the picture is not perfect because of the sun, so here is the vid



at the end, the skyline finally let's me thru, after a couple of laps on his tail

Nice footage mate, nice driving.

Idiot skyline, must have been ignoring blue flags for nearly 2 laps before coming to terms with the fact that the MINIs are quicker. Frustrating indeed, winds me up really. There's a four letter c-word for driving like that...

I was slightly surprised by the Skylines out at Brands Hatch and their (relative) lack of pace. I can only assume that the drivers generally were less confident. All of them should have been quicker round the track in the right hands than a 220bhp ish Mini, but the only two that were quicker than me were the R35 GT-R and the Silver fire-breathing one. And Simon (my ex-BTCC friend) had the silver one pulling over to let us past after a couple of laps :-)
