yeah true - they are a good all rounder though... just not particularly exciting...

As FWD doesnt seem to be doing it for you I recon you should go RWD this time round - I know its not massivly fast but driving my sisters MX-5 to mine last night in the damp was a hoot !!! totally changed my perspective on them as last time i tried i was left a little underwhelmed...

RWD FTW...

So you're getting an Impreza yes?

Even a basic WRX is 2k more to insure than my GP, madness.

This week I have mostly been...driving a 116i. Better than walking I guess.

Classix V3+ STi TYPE R ftw normaly 300 BHP stock and will cost less than 8k for a complete minter.
You dont get much more hardcore they have everything you could want fully loaded with all the normal JDM goodies and the DCCD makes life so much fun.
With potential of upto about 400BHP stock if you do it right and see the right people, but realisticly realible at about 350-380
Andy forrest ran 450bhp i think it was on stock internals for years taking the TOTB crown.
What about a celica ST205, not as leary and aggresive as a classic but a hell of lot more fun than a newage scooby and hell of lot more focused there just getting on a bit now .

I think James is only after newer stuff mate. A stanced impreza will still be a good call though.
